Sunset Bay Café has been a number of different eatery’s over the years, but Bryce, and co-owner Gary Jarvis, felt the location needed their “all-hands-on-deck” approach to really make an impact while serving the ingredient driven dishes to savor overlooking the magnificent views of the Choctawhatchee bay in South Walton, where waterfront dining is rare.

Chicken & Waffles

As the owner of the legendary charter boat, The Backdown 2, Captain Gary Jarvis lends an expert’s eye to the sustainable food movement while bringing the highest quality sourced seafood from the docks to the kitchen at Sunset Bay Café, saying, “Our menu focuses on peak products available each season.”

In addition to classic favorites like chicken & waffles, and po-boy’s, diners will also be able to taste some innovative dishes like the Southern Fries that are topped with white pepper gravy, pecan wood smoked bacon, fried cheese curds and chives, or the fresh catch of the day that sits atop a bed of peak regional produce.

Located near the Linkside Conference Center at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, Sunset Bay Café now offers dinner service in addition to lunch and dinner, its full bar, outside dining, a Tiki bar, and “grab and go” options that are perfect for those golfing, playing tennis, sitting by the pool, or heading to the beach.

Roast Beef Po'Boy

Holy Cakes, an award-winning bakery owned by Bryce’s wife Miranda, provides an assortment of muffins and cupcakes daily, desserts, as well as orders by request for business meetings, weddings, or other specialty functions.

“We’ve had amazing success with breakfast and lunch, but we don’t want that to become all we are known for,” said Bryce Jarvis, “We are excited to offer a variety of dinner options made with the same commitment to locally sourced ingredients and sustainable seafood.”
